Here at Cardinal Playlists we are always scouring the net for new artists. Feel free to submit your music to CardinalPlaylists@gmail.com with your band name in the subject line.
Please, do not attach songs. We prefer a link to BandCamp, SoundCloud, or some other means of streaming your songs. We will need you to send us two pictures for the article. By sending the link and the pictures you are legally consenting to our posting them but only in your article. If you’re interested in doing an interview be sure to include that in your first email so that we can send you some questions and get your article up in a timely manner.
Being a music blog, our inbox is often full of submissions and our queue is full. We will respond, though, so be patient. We listen to everything that is sent to us.

‘Catchy Pop-Rock-Folk Songs with An Alternative Edge’
Johnny Hatch is an inspired songwriter & dynamic performer from Regina & Vancouver, Canada whose catchy name is matched by the songwriting and pro-recording on his current album ‘Happiness Instead’. Johnny turns intuitive, inspired moments into well-crafted Pop-Rock-Folk songs infused with passion. Johnny Hatch recently toured across Western Canada winning many new fans. This summer he plans to play in and around California, Toronto & possibly Europe.
‘Happiness Instead’ was recorded at Ze Studio near Regina except for the songs ‘Echo’ & ‘In L.A.’ recorded there and Los Angeles with Doug Deep (composer for TV shows such as Survivor). Happiness Instead contains universal stories and hummable melodies with anthemic choruses. The album is the culmination of years of songwriting and months of recording. The Hatchman has just been invited to Vancouver by up & coming film director Pan Yannitsos to shoot a music video for ‘Echo’. (Pan screened his latest film at Sundance).
RADIO Receiving radio airplay in regions of the US and Canada. Just added to KLED Los Angeles. 3 songs added to rotation at Mix 103.9 FM Moose Jaw! Play-listed or spins at Rock 104 the Wolf Regina – NWCZ – Seattle, UMFM Winnipeg, CJTR Regina, CJMQ Sherbrooke, Quebec, CFBX Kamloops & more. Added to multiple online stations and podcasts across North America. Songs from the debut EP ‘Hot Traxx!!!’ (produced by David J. Taylor) received radio airplay at college radio across Canada and some commercial radio.

FILM & TV Songs Johnny has written and placed songs in a number of movies & TV shows most notably ‘Fubar is a Super Rocker’ the hit film Fubar. Johnny co-wrote and recorded the song with world-wide metal legend Thor. The song appeared on the soundtrack on Aquarius / EMI records alongside bands such as Sum 41 & Treblecharger and the video is included in the film DVD. Johnny rocked 3 tours of Western Canada with Thor, most notably opening for Nashville Pussy (Grammy nominees). Other credits include: Scooter Kids movie (Hollywood) & Canada’s Renegade Press TV show
